NOIC Report:
-
NOIC 2010 was
a great success. CD's Lee Prevost and Craig Knight did it
again.
-
Although we
had a low turnout of competitors, and some gusty winds,
there was some great flying and some very close scores in Basic
and sportsman.
-
A big thank you to all who helped make this
another memorable event.
-
Special thanks to our ground crew: Fred
Pella, Kathy Prevost, Robert Roy, Kathy Grace, Kent Fabro.
Thank you all for your hard work.
-
A terrific
meal was attended by all at the Dog House restaurant in Azilda
Saturday night.
-
We even hosted
a search and rescue event (not planned) that resulted in the
recovery of a downed plane from the surrounding bush.
Damage was very minimal as Eric once again did one of his
spectacular "plane out of sight" landings on the tree tops.
-
A special
thanks to the pilots at whitewater lake for taking time to help
to spot the plane and guide us to it Sunday morning.
News Flash: rumor has it that the NOIC may be
held in the Soo next year.
Contact Lee Prevost or Craig Knight for more information.

IMAC wants you!
History
The NOIC as it is now know, was first run in 2004 as a joint
venture between the Sault Ste Marie Flying Club and the Cambrian RC
Flyers. Contest directors for this annual event are Craig Knight
from the Sault, and Lee Prevost from the Great White North RC Flyers
group. This first event was the first model aerobatic
competition using IMAC rules ever run in Northern Ontario, and it is
now one of the "must attend" events on the IMAC circuit for not only
Ontario, but the North Central IMAC zone as well.
